    It's called a D-Splicer but I think it would be easy to make by just bending a bit of stiff wire.

    She's not. Masina was designed by Jack Brooke (NZ) for the builder, Noel Barrott (NZ). Actually designed as a 36' but redrawn to 38'.

    That would explain it. Masina's often regarded as a smaller version of Stormvogel. The guy we bought Masina from is the sometime manager of Stormvogel.
