With the amount of expensive glue you gonna put into that piece, all that wood and how hard it will be to change that piece if the glue fail take something that never fail...

Other then structural... I have to say old grown BC Fir are a delight to work with.

Hand plane beautifully, turn a light pink when freshly cut with a sharp blade, with a nice sweet candy smell.

Yes I do have a few pieces around myself, the cleaning needle is what broke most, in the "Jet" while cleaning it.
So you actually need 2 pieces to change...

Wiz, yes the Taylors 030 has Primus burner... Which I have to say parts are getting hard to find or expensive.
But Kerosene is so easy to find everywhere in the world... At 3 times/daily I have...
