    I once had a seriously huge guy sit next to me. He literally overflowed into my seat. I'm small 5'7" and 130 lbs, so it was tolerable.

    The tiller extension is vertical at rest or at least flopped over. You are making it hard on yourself.. Every racing dinghy has one of these.
