She has been kept quite simple and basic. Which I rather like. Guess she can be "improved" as required, but nice to be able to start with a minimum fittout.

i think a small cabin would keep me out sailing for longer periods, our weather is just so poor.
the other factor that added greatly to feeling secure and in control to enjoy the cruising is in...

Liata looks really nice.a good choice. she meets your spec. vivier is a top designer, the build description sounds simple and straight forward. Lighter and narrower than morbic 12 for your car...

one way of stowing a larger tender would be say 10' as a two piece, 2x5'.
Klaus Metz has a 12' nesting design.
simplfied and reduced to 10' might work.
...
6' is a very small tender. Scraps looks handy though. 6'3

wonderful.
thanks tink
not off topic at all
good luck with trials. Like your rig. Very nice.
Will the box sort of flip from inside the hull, over the gunnel and somehow sit clipped creating the stability to climb back in.
tink,
how about writing to Meade?
could say 12 people join to pay for set of drawings?
how dare you refer to Dudley Dix as a designer with no track record!
think you might be right.
$500 boat.
tough task
will need simple design but still worth doing
i reckon an OzGoose is your best choice

Meade for president of OCS
how go we some how have plans drawn for his latest boat
the ultimate OCS design
Please lets not start with "my boats better than your boat" stuff. Scamp is wonderful. I adore her.
RoG is also superb in her own way. Great to have these new designs available to us for...
Adrian, the thing is with sailing canoes is beam makes a big difference.
Artemis at 30" is a true 50"50 sailing canoe. really good paddling canoe and sailing canoe. that make her much less stable...
this bit?

still here, very much enjoying your updates, and now the exciting planking bit. The method of using plank edge to edge and then lapstrake sides seems a really good solution to me.

Agree 100% with you. 1000 second hand boats in uk means no kits can work here, but in US opposite situation. No supply of old boats, modern design and manufacture by John, and proven customer demand,...

perhaps John could aim for 10k? kit, hugely successful design, John might just have...
perhaps she might fill the role as a motor cruiser version . With just a small steadying sail.
I thought of you Axel when reading John's post. Glad you enjoyed it. I rather like the Sharpie.
Iain, sorry you lost your backer. Very promising project. Could she work as a Paradox alternative?...
