    Re: Catspaw dinghy

Yes, can do lapstrake. I built the Herreshoff Columbia dinghy which is the lapstrake version of the catspaw (and a foot shorter). Herreshoff planking is 1/4".

    Re: Spiling question

Underlayment from the big box store works well. More than 1/8 but less than 1/4. All that really matters if you have something that you don't edge set.

Personally, I found the hot glue ladder...

    Re: Ship saw for sale?

Louis did adjust a small bandsaw to do a rolling bevel, but you can only cut timber up to a certain size/weight on it because the table tilts instead of the saw, and so heavy timber is going to want...

I made a similar setup with a keg, but wound up grinding the entire valve off so there was just a gaping hole in the top of the keg. Then I snagged a flange from a big box store that would cover the...

    1. I just dropped 5mm doorskin ply on my garage floor, butted the edges together and dropped some weights on them to make sure they didn't slide around. If you don't want to crawl on the floor,...

Thanks for getting us to a page 4 Chris! No idea what went wrong with page 3.

I'll keep the updates coming tonight. I don't know exactly where I left off, so I'll do some backfilling with pictures.

  33. Re: Best and Longlasting Finish for White Oak Slatted Deck
