225 posts.... Of THIS?
Thankfully, I spent the weekend on my boat.
More or less where Keith is.
Traffic accident on Rt 128; took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to go 11 miles... No option to get off the highway. Total time to get to the boat: 4 hours. NOT a great start to the first weekend aboard.
So... who would you like to blame... and what evidence have you seen that would support it?
The dealership is in Norwood, MA, which is hardly the 'epicenter' of the wealthiest communities around Boston. The real epicenter of big wealth would be in the Wellesley/Dover/Weston area, well to ...
I tell ya, it's a laugh a minute, with this stuff! :)
I occasionally watch the Food channel... but haven't yet watched Gordon Ramsey's show, 'Kitchen Nightmares', where he goes into a failing restaurant to try to help them succeed.
However, I caught...
As HuffPo put it, the 37th time is the charm:
Yup, that's what I call carrying out the grave responsibility of Congress, all right. Useless votes, for the sake of bragging rights, that do...
Then every national politician is a thief, and singling out Obama would be intrinsically unfair... because the dark money flows to ALL national (and many local) politicians, irrespective of party.
...
The answer is simple, and everyone knows it: it's a different culture.
Duuuhhhhhh.
BS. Obama didn't set any precedent, he just responded to it. As a result of all this dark money, he had no choice because his opponent would do the same.
An excellent article on just how severe the problem is: politics dominated by the massive influence of big money, much of it 'dark' (i.e., anonymous).... and how a future SCOTUS ruling might just...
Nahh, it's all because (gasp!) there's a BLACK man in the White House! :)
You can't keep a good gun thread down, I tell ya! :)
The wisdom of Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.):
That, obviously, is my take, precisely.
While it may be fashionable to 'dis' television, it ought to be pointed out that everyone here who is doing so, is doing it via a computer, iPad, or smart phone.... which means that they are likely...
I'm still at a loss to understand just what the administration had to gain here. Based on the article, it appears that the motivation was more likely from the CIA:
It isn't in the least...
As is often the case, it takes a while for the fog of both war and politics to clear. This summary certainly helps clear the air... and to me, indicates something VASTLY different than the naarrative...
There is a Lamborghini / Maserati dealership that opened about two years ago in the next town, on Rt.1, which is known as the 'Automile'. Between what's in the lot, and what is in the showroom,...
Wow... I didn't know he was still alive!

You're watching the wrong stuff... there's a veritable TON of excellent TV to be had. Admittedly, I can't get it from my TV; I get it from either NetFlix, or my local cable company (on demand, using ...
Right on target, Keith.... you START by presuming some sort of nefarious culpability, then dig deep to see what facts... or non-facts.... support the narrative.
The Obama Hate Machine is alive and...
Grrrrrrrrrrr! :)
I am more than willing to acknowledge that the particular selection criteria used by the IRS was just wrong.... and justifiably, Miller's head metphorically rolled for it, which is only right.
...
Well, so much for specificity. I guess it was unreasonable to expect that from someone with your attitudes.
Unfortunately, the article doesn't mention any treatment :)
And what exactly did anyone do to impede the investigation into the circumstances of the attack in Benghazi? Be specific, please; spinning some talking points for the press is not 'obstruction of...
Google is your friend:
I can't speak for you, but I'm a member of homo sapiens. As such, I have had successes and failures in my life. I've taken on very challenging work, and often succeed, but sometimes I fail, and some...
Speaking of coolaid....'obstruction of justice'? For there to be obstruction of justice, there needs to be a crime.
Did you have any particular crime in mind? :):)
There's a bizarre story going on not far from me. Residents of Quincy, MA (just south of Boston) have seen a low flying plane, identified as a Cessna, flying continuously over the city from dawn to...
Separated at birth, I suspect.
Really? Brick and mortar stores have been paying sales tax to thousands of separate taxing authorities since before computers? Exactly what parallel universe are you living in?
How in hell...
All the hot topics are burnt out. Suggest something, and I'll make a fool of myself ranting about it :)
Really?
Please tell us... exactly WHAT experience do you have in obtaining highly restricted regulatory information from all 50 states... who aren't inclined to want to give it to you? I happen to...
'Locally' is comparatively easy. 'Nationally' is hard. LARGE brick and mortar companies can spend millions on a staff of dozens or hundreds, to deal with it.... companies without millions to spend on...
Having won and lost numerous times on the 'weight game', I still feel very strongly that the chief barrier to weight loss is psychological.
To succeed, you have to overcome the contradictions...
I have never seen someone so severely miss the point, as you so clearly are missing the point.
It has NOTHING to do with writing code.
It has to do with issues totally external to programming...
I love clever infant clothing.... this one is kinda cute:

VERY well said. Thanks for the post.
The next few days will be 'slow' news days, in the sense that we're going to be hearing endless repetition on the quadrangle of 'scandals' that the news is now fixated upon.
Notice that you...
Bumped, because I hate it when I've taken lots of time and effort to do a long post, only to see the thread sink down the list before anyone notices :)
That's my biggest weakness, lately.... a new burrito shop opened up in the next town, and they make the best burritos I've ever eaten.... carne asada, with pinto beans, cheese, onions, and a nice...
I am also rankled by ridiculous and repetitive redundancy. :)
It drives me crazy.... the incessant compulsion to 'rank' things:
The best Philly Cheese-Steak
The Greatest Country in the World
The Best Kick-A$$ rock song
The prettiest actress
Mac v. PC

I've battled weight all my adult life, occasionally dieting down to a reasonable number, then blimping out to an unreasonable number... I know it's not a healthy thing, but those of us with the...
People who trivialize the challenge of sales tax collection across thousands of jurisdictions are being quite naive. It's not a computer problem, per se.... the software can be written. It's a...
