    The boat in the original post is Rara Avis, a Thames Barge hull designed by Phillip Rhodes and built 1957. The three-masted rig was intended for a small crew.

    Laredo was built as a seiner in Vancouver, in 1941. She fished up into the mid-70's, was then converted to the charter business. Went south of the border sometime '90-'95.
