  3. Re: Leica Store Robberies - San Francisco store is latest for 180k

What I likw about the Leica shown in #5 is the strap looking stout enough to prevent wory about failure. The stram on my Fugi doesn't really seem stout enough to be dependable under stress.

Re: Wordle is blowing my mind.

We never use the BOT. Do use hints occasionally. Unfortunately, my FIL's oft-repeated observation doesn't apply; "it's a small mind that cannot figure out more than one way to spell a word". ...

    Re: Lug & Sprit Questions

Having sailed leg-o-mutton sprit sails in Dovekie and Shearwater for 30 years, and a lug sail in an Eastport Pram for 14 years, I would give a great deal of consideration to what Todd Bradshaw posts...

  8. Re: Oathkeepers trial - verdict being read now

There's an interesting interview of the three eldest Rhodes children in the Southern Poverty Law Center's latest edition of Hate And Extremism In 2022. Basically, they say their father is a very...
  9. Re: Preliminary NTSB report on Dallas B17 P63 crash.

^^^ Worthwhile advice. I felt some guilt with #6, however, the flesh is weak.
  10. Re: Preliminary NTSB report on Dallas B17 P63 crash.

First time I've seen these details on the two formations' flight paths. Two counts of negligence for the Air Boss? No briefing on vertical separation and the flight path cross-over? Wow! I know a...

Re: Modern cars are way too complicated.

Yea-but, what I read here said if you were real quiet, you could HEAR a CJ rust from your bed. Besides, there are no affordable CJ's with seat belts. Took a likely candidate to my regular auto shop...

Re: Modern cars are way too complicated.

Why I entertaind the idea of buying a used Jeep CJ for awhile. The admonition I read here about being able to hear Jeeps rust at night in your garage took care of that.

  18. Re: Automobile troll: You guys are all about BMW, Porsche, Corvette, etc.

My son's got two cars, an NSX and a Cad-you-lac ATX (think I got that suffix right).
  19. Re: Automobile troll: You guys are all about BMW, Porsche, Corvette, etc.

Used to work for a British Subject who drove Cadillacs. He pronounced the brand "Cad-you-lac" like they say "Jag-you-wer".

  47. Re: B17 and P63 collided mid-air at Wings over Dallas air show
