ron II,
This sounds just like your first description of the "problem".
I'll now bet your next outing will yield the same results.
You're showing some very consistent consistency.

ron II,
This sounds just like your first description of the "problem".
I'll now bet your next outing will yield the same results.
You're showing some very consistent consistency.
Ah, progress,...
Well, you've already listed several techniques, pick one.
If you already know what full is then all you're looking to determine is change.
What works best for you?
Not if you're consistent with your measuring technique.
Almost peed my pants on that one!
OP:
You need to calibrate your dipstick.
Find out from the manufacturer, or a qualified mechanic, how much oil it takes and when/how to measure it.
Then you'll...
Jay,
Sorry to hear this.
You have my every sympathy.
I've broken ribs, took six months before I could sneeze pain free.
I found relief in the pool, but that's not going to happen again for a...
Not that kind of scraper, more like cardboard, but in thin steel.
The cloth is coming off.
"second layer", I missed that part.
Agreed.
A scrapper may be good for removing un-kicked epoxy gooh.
Dove, The Golden Spruce, The Curve of Time.
Happy Birthday Jay!

Ron II,
I am not familiar with that heater.
I read the specs and it looks okay.
But I would put a block heater in the engine instead.
The engine will radiate the heat throughout the engine room...
Mark0,
I have the same Jotul keeping me warm tonight!
"But in truth, silicone is just not that good a glue."
That's because it's not a glue.
Or three little ones as it appears they're already raised beds for them.
Is that your hull?
Absolutely you should add a skeg, as described.
You can always trim it down, or off.
Try just screwing it on for a sea-trial.
If you're happy, make it permanent.
Pictures please.
It is the best tech line I've ever called.
The same bunch of guys have been there for years.
I gladly pay more for West.
I have never had a problem with it.
It is cumulative, yes.
Our hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in our blood, has a 250 times greater affinity for CO than O2.
250 times!
And with a half life of about 6 hours, it is ridiculously...
That is correct Ian.
And CO is virtually neutrally buoyant in air, making it even more dangerous.
Are you Avoning us on?
There are better, smarter sensors available that make false alarms a thing of the past.
They are more expensive but it's a case of getting what you pay for.
All combustion appliances create CO, some more than others.
I too have an acquaintance who was the sole survivor of a CO incident on board his boat.
He presents like a stroke victim.
Good post Ian.
Entire courses are run on "Confined Spaces".
A boat hull is a confined space providing it is keeping the water it's floating in, out.
Enjoy every breathe today.
I sold them 7 years ago, where the designer lives('ed?), for $1000 Canadian, suggested retail, which was almost at par to the USD at the time I recall... kind-of hazley...
I haven't tried it because I don't have one.
But I like the idea.
Except, bilge pumps are often wired directly to the battery.
Although, if installed through a switch, manual "ON" should be an...
I should have mentioned, these were all boat installation sales.
I agree, keeping the wet #1 function from the dryer #2 function is key to it's successful operation.
Cheers
I used to sell the Air Head.
Not one disappointed customer.
Yes. I too would be interested in reading your study.
I couldn't agree more johng.
Thanks OP, good on ya.
If one chooses not to wear a seat belt while in a car.
not wear a helmet while cycling,
or not wear a PFD when boating,
that's up to them.
However, as a retired marine first-responder, I think...
Because I need a container to mix in anyway, why not measure it out in the same container, checked and calibrated for accuracy and with no problems.
That's why.
No need for a $15 dollar scale,...
Sorry Denise, I have not made you invisible.
Nor do I have any comments about your poorly constructed / worded post.
Just pretend I'm a woman and everything should be fine.
Good advice as usual from Ian.
The only thing I would add is to speak with the NA before you purchase any plans.
They may have some very good advice before you purchase.
I've never had a mechanical float-switch fail on me.
I like the idea of two in parallel though, good idea.
The electronic switches run every couple of minutes, if they sense resistance, water,...
Check your measuring cups for accuracy.
Use water and an accurate measure from a kitchen measuring cup to check.
I have found some inaccuracies in my disposable measuring cups, adjusted and have...
I'd phone 3M or your produce manufacturer as it's in their best interest to make it work.
And you are certainly not alone.
Good luck!
Having a spray-skirt (cockpit cover) fail in rough seas is bad, very bad.
Water enters the bilge (down-flooding) and the free-surface effect can easily lead to a roll-over.
A difficult reboarding...
Thanks bd.
Reboarding a kayak is not easy in calm water, I've been trained to do it.
It's a lot easier with a paddle float... in calm water.
Not all PFD's (Personal Floatation Device) are...
So many things wrong here.
Thanks for posting bluedog.
Firstly, you should have been told what to expect in the pre-trip safety briefing.
If one person had clued in that PFD's would be prudent,...
Great memory Ian, thanks.
Not sure there is so much "right" and "wrong" here as "different".
Culturally different, regionally different, socioeconomic differences, etc, etc, etc.
All differences that add to our diversity....
As a Commercial Mariner and avid boater/yachtsman, I have encountered endless options for nautical nomenclature.
Different crews use different terms from Coast Guard, to Navy, to fishing boats, etc....
I suspect it involved carrying the barometer to the top of the building, quickly.
Who's Paul?
No silly, remove one probe and have the other secure while holding the meter at the same time...
No.
Because a 12V charger won't charge a 24V battery.
"No I didn't read it.
Well now I have and I didn't see anything about mixing 2 different epoxies as you proposed."
That's right, I mixed them differently, imagine.
I was offering my experience...
Your powers of observation and deduction are impressive upchurch, you'll go far.
I used broken (failed) tensile test pieces from the university lab.
Just glued them back together and screwed them...
No coincidence.
Good referral Ian.
I was faced with the same predicament recently Toller .
So, I did a little test.
I mixed up a small batch of each, then poured 1/3 of each into a third container and mixed...
If the plans call for tempered then I would highly recommend it.
I built 14 windows, two Dutch doors (with glazing) and a hatch out of yellow cedar and put 26 pieces of 1/4" tinted, tempered glass...
I was disappointed with the reviews I read on radar reflectors,
so I made my own out of twelve corners, just like the 8 corners in production models
but they are all separate. I arranged them in a...
