    Towing with a front wheel drive Odyssey, you're worrying needlessly about spinning tires on the ramp...especially with a lightweight johnboat in tow.

    Did mine on the boat.
    Packing tape to keep stuff from sticking, and drywall screws 'til the epoxy sets...
    The clamping pads (scrap plywood) were re-used over and over...

    The bottom can fit "between" the fenders easily....just need to get the right trailer.

    The steepness of ramps varies....
    For reference my Ninigret sits 26 inches above the pavement at the ass end.
    More importantly the skeg of the outboard is about 11 inches aboveground in the down...

    I wouldn't plan on hanging my outboard on that...unless I didn't mind losing it.
    Way too much rot showing there, and you have to know the rot extends farther than what shows.
    Buy a cheap FG boat...

    Total Boat Total Fair is very easy to mix, apply, scrape, and sand.
    It mixes to a light green color, and I have no trouble covering it with paint.
    No extra sealing step like with micro balloons.

    I'm not disappointed at all with how she performs.
    I never expected a speedy boat. She runs 18 - 19 mph and I'm happy with that.
    Rides the waves nice.

    Well, decision made....
    Motor box has been taken off.
    I think the motor just needs to breathe more...cool air... not hot air inside the box.
    Cutting in a ton more vents just defeats the sound...

    We have been out three times so far, and I have been playing with props again....
    I tried a four blade stainless and it worked OK, but the ten pitch would only spin 5200 rpm... 19 mph.

    If you can get the plans, then I'd suggest you go with what the plans state...
    On my Ninigret (similar boat with a well) the plans show the plate about 1-1/2" below the hull at the motor transom......

    Pouring out your coffee can, or whatever container, on to newspaper or something similar allows you to pick up the pile and pour it back into the can easily once you've found the one you were looking...
