    its not the glue that failed Nick , it is the construction technique combined with poor gluing technique. lots of epoxy fails....that is not a reason to throw it away

    No , My rec is #17 and #19. Transform the slab keel into a laminated one by retro fitting (cutting) kerfs and epoxying them.
    Modernize the keel to match the hull
    ....which I could have done twice...

    fish plates are still a caveman repair on a stable epoxy hull

    open MORE spaces .saw the big nogs into little nogs
    smaller pieces of wood are more stable than big ones.
    3, 2 inch plans are more stable than one ,six inch plank.

    yea just wash the texture with a brush, apply the paint thinly, as in, pull it out, not thin it out.
    it does not need grinding off or re doing until the grit is filled with paint and no longer...

    If the boat is not leaking, I might just put a wrench on the bolts for a feel. Too loose? crazy tight? Evenly cranked down?
    The "big nogs of wood" speak to the instability of the keel structure...

    I think that mighta thrown some too.
    I always said overhead . An overhead ceiling would be slats or cloth like on a car or panels .
