At a guess Elmo, I’d replace the bolt in that swivel with a shackle (I’m assuming the fitting in your hand is a swivel). Maybe a new swivel (does it spin nice?? ) might pay off.

A lot of boats sit that long in build in worse conditions. I’d be following the paint companies directions. Have you actually run a moisture meter over the planks? May not be as dry as you imagine.

Just be aware Alex, that is the glue that foams when it has a gap to expand into or out of. The expanded foamy residue doesn’t have much strength so your wood needs to be a good fit. I used it on my...
