  1. Re: I may have to hand in my conservative card

Look at what the Republicans, as a party, look to do: end abortions, end Medicare and SS: end negotiating drug prices.

Cut taxes on the wealthiest people, eliminate voting rights.......

    And...

My problem with Romney is I never know which one of him will step up at any time.
  3. Re: I may have to hand in my conservative card

I don't think that makes any sense in today's world. The GOP has been pretty well taken over by the Trump crowd. Many candidates are still saying the election was stolen. They oppose any abortions. ...

Re: Florida, insurance and the rest of us.

I think there was a valid argument for area wages, as postal employees were paid the same regardless of where they lived/worked, and some places are more expensive.

Turned out to be a if you don't...

If I remember correctly, the history channel's show on cars, this was one of the cars the engineers argued wasn't ready for production yet, but they lost the argument.

  13. Re: Florida: the hurricane and the elections

Maybe. One friend I talked to held the opinion that a lot of these people won't be concerned about voting.

I find it a bit interesting that I've not seen any discussion of this so far.

  14. Florida: the hurricane and the elections

It's my impression Florida does not like mail in voting. A lot of, it seems, wealthy floridians will not be able to vote at their normal polling place, as it won't exist.
