Can't imagine anything I wouldn't want you to bring, buddy! :)
We are SO looking forward to see you in April, Jackie and Mike! I'll shoot you an email.
The Third Annual Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-22, 2012 on the banks of scenic and historic Bayou Teche in Franklin, Louisiana.
The BTWBS has...
The Third Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show, the fastest-growing wooden boat show in Louisiana, is set for Oct. 20-22 in Franklin, La. The show is held in conjunction with the Bayou Teche Black Bear and...
Thank you all so much!
Thanks for that.
I don't see any icons except smilies and stuff in the "go advanced" or the "quick reply" modes...but it's OK, pic's up! :)
Looks pretty good for sitting in a shed under a tarp for...
Sent! Thanks. I don't know why I don't see a button. :(
I just don't see an image button anywhere, in IE or in Firefox. :( I went to advanced post entry and don't see it either.
Why they always gotta change stuff???????
OK, I'll have to wait until I figure this out. The "manage attachments" thing doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks, though!
Hi Peter!
I think you nailed it. Let me try pictures again

I've been away so long, I can't figure out how to upload photos with the new system...?
My buddy and I found a Chris hull, number CUC-20-0062 C. I can't find that number on any ID site.
It is a...
Thanks for posting those! And mega-thanks for coming down, my friend.
More photos are at www.techeboatshow.com on the 2011 Show menu tab.
It's ON for next year!
Folks, we've nearly doubled last year's show if everyone who registered attends! Many thanks to all who plan on coming, and all who might STILL come.
Good luck! Win big!
We have so far three new entries confirmed for the show...one from Texas, one from Alabama and one from another part of Louisiana.
Brutal cold, absolutely ridiculous. What's the use of living in the deep south if we're gonna freeze to death? :)
Get the lottery ticket, man! You never know.
Thanks for the video, Scott!
Chuck my man
I'm sorry to hear that, my friend. Best to you.
I was looking at those Riva plans the other day...I guess it'll have to wait until I retire, but I sure do want to build that puppy!...
It WILL be!
Ask Scott Harris, he was there last year.
It's a small venue, of course, just really starting out, but we are hoping it'll be fun for everyone and something "different" too.
Best,
R
April is coming, and so is the Second Annual Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show to be held again on the banks of Bayou Teche, in Franklin, Louisiana.
I sure would like to have some of you kind folks come...
Man, don't I wish! It'd take me four days to drive there, though. :) This lil Injun don't fly no more.
I'd settle for the dry fly fishing, though...the big stuff in saltwater really just doesn't do...
Pretty good, hot and humid, notwithstanding! Ready for fall.
Greetings, all.
It has been decided after the success of the first Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show in Franklin, Louisiana in April that we are going to continue the show.
While turnout was modest (12...
Geez, you folks are the greatest.
Many thanks. Big 44 today...magnum quality!
It's seeming to be pretty much all across the board, but slow water fish, like cats, bowfin, gar, do better. Mostly it's bass, crappie and bream.
Paladin, I'm with ya, man!
We were fine, as far as damage.
The fish kills are caused by two things: Wind and salt water. The wind turns the swamps upside down...the organic matter at the bottom exists in a no-oxygen zone....
For about 3 years, anyway, pending any further hurricanes.
It was just getting better in the lower Atchaflaya River Basin after Katrina/Rita.

Some -- not all -- wonderful judgment calls by long distance. Such clairvoyance is truly impressive. Especially since the same calls are made based on news reports the seers would otherwise hold in...
You too, man. Fiancee's family is from NOLA, one sister on the Northshore, next time we go visit, let's hook up, hear?
Only 8-10 here, so we're good. Winds 40, maybe gusting to 60. We left for Gustav, but this one should be bearable here. Prayers for Texas and southwest La., though.
This is Bayou Teche back of my house in St. Mary Parish, La. The thing you see out there in the water is the back of the bench seat on my neighbor's dock which is only about 3 feet from the bayou...
We...have...had....ENOUGH! (Speaking for all the gulf coast.) :(
Bestwishes to all to the east from those of us in the south!
Alive and well. Got back today. Place is a mess, trees and limbs down, but no damage to the house. Neighbor lost half his roof! I'm counting my blessings. Gustav ended up passing over us where we...
Uhm ... maybe. :)
Not likely to be any planes going outta here, anyway! Me, the little lady, and my mom to Conn. would also be beyond my simple means!
Thanks so much, everyone. We're not seeing any better news. :( Well...when it hits open water, maybe we'll know more.
Eh. It's really too early to guess. I don't put much stock in them until it reaches open water. BUT two-thirds of the "spaghetti" models are right on top of us.
Got an 81-year-old mom, 14-year-old...
Hey! No hijackin' threads when i'm having a nervous breakdown!!!

The red arrow points to ME! :(
Ed, islands would do the trick nicely!
UCB, (sorry, I remember you but not your first name!) I just looked back at your progress. She's coming along wonderful! Anytime you want to cruise down...
Thanks, C. Ross!
Ed, streams? Don't need no stinking streams! I fish lakes and bayous mostly, and ponds!
Thanks all,
Not at the moment, Ed, though one day I hope to make such a journey. How's the fly fishing? :)
Hey old friends,
The online mag created by myself, Gary Henderson of Florida, and Larry Offner of Denham Springs, La., launched New Year's Day and called Far & Away, has published our sixth issue...
Good suggestions, thanks.
Just a note...the March issue went online last weekend. Some good reading inside, we think.

Once again, we're non-commercial and paying for it out of our own pockets,...
Yes I have! Fascinating, utterly fascinating.
Reminds me of what my old grandpa told me once, when I started getting my college education and questioning some of the beliefs of our ancestors, he...
Thank you very much! Had to be atmospheric, because the setting sure was. I may go look again, but I think my grandpa was right...if you leave a treasure behind, you can't ever return to it.
No, I never sent one before, because it was postponed.
But if I DO send one, when it does happen, I can count on you to show your face down here on the Rez, right????
Thanks all for the kind...
So, this indicates that if I send you an invitation this time around, you WILL come, right?
Thanks, folks. I do check in here every few weeks, but rarely find reason to post. No boat projects going on over here in years, though I keep having the hankering to start one. But my now...
Hey, folks,
Just thought some of you might be interested in this. Myself, Gary Henderson of Florida, and Larry Offner of Denham Springs, La., launched a new e-zine on New Year's Day called Far &...
