    I call it a mast traveler.

    The halyard is attached to the top loop of the traveler and the yard has a grommet seized around it that goes in the hook on the bottom of the traveler.

    Is the boat wood or fiberglass? It is hard to tell, but if that is a fiberglass boat, that crack will not be hard to repair with some epoxy and glass cloth.

    I had it repainted in the factory original Laguna Blue. When I got it, it had been painted with house paint. Here it is on the way to the shop for some rust repair and painting. 107798

    Those frames in the bow don't look like they are much thicker than the planking.

    I have a 17 ft Grumman and I think that if it is a handful for two people to paddle, you need to work on your paddling skills.

    I always enjoyed having a meal with my Mom at Mariner's Point. The wait staff were all very nice. She actually had apartment #334 right across the hall from you.

    Pine tar soap

    I got some for Xmas from someone who bought it in Sweden on vacation. It smells like, well, pine tar. Strongly.
