    Thanks, nedL. Am concerned that the OP wanted to lay in some goo. If the owner uses Sika 292, a polyurethane, and the seam is a wide live one, the plank may buckle. Polyurethanes are stiff.

    OK, the deck seams have opened up because of low ambient humidity, perhaps from being stored in a garage. It might be possible to swell them up by creating a high humidity environment for the boat....

    Nice boat. I infer that your seams have opened up (cracked). Or are you actually replacing deck caulk on a newly varnished deck?

    Really good point. The boys here think they are wise to avoid marine paint because "that's like what "yachtsmen" use." If the can says "house paint" on the can it is formulated for use on houses....

    Walked around Fisherman's Terminal a few days ago. About a third of the slips were pleasure boats. Many of the fishing boats did not seem to have enjoyed any maintenance in some time....
