Masina has Murrays on the boom but I'm taking them off. I'm going to use them for Pipsqueak's halyard winches. The problem with them is that they have special Murray handles, so you've got to leave...

Fixtech make a sealant/adhesive that might suit. I don't remember the number but it's the one in the light blue tube. Sikaflex would also be suitable but I've become a big Fixtech fan.

  40. Re: Sharpening wheels - anyone have one? use one? have advice on them??

That's the setup I've got. I've got a chisel/plane jig but I don't use it. The Multitool is made by a guy in Bathurst - just a small workshop, I believe.

  46. Re: Sharpening wheels - anyone have one? use one? have advice on them??

I think the white stones are too fine-grained. A coarser wheel is better for sharpening, as mentioned above, as it doesn't burn the tools as easily. If your chisels are Marples then they'll be HSS....
  47. Re: Sharpening wheels - anyone have one? use one? have advice on them??

Greg, for your turning chisels, a regular bench grinder with an aluminium oxide wheel ( a widish one, and not one of those white ones) is your best bet. Use only an aluminium oxide slipstone and an...
