    Very nice Don, Yes models have always been a great way to get through these points before committing to much larger pieces of wood. Good work on the lamination of that stem.

    I am wondering if it is Pauline, because there is no slot on the top of the centerboard trunk for the keel as in the drawing, it also looks as if the seats have been taken out.

    Now I realized that the forward ledger extends down to the bottom of the skeg.

    Ok here is a modified version and the ledger is slotted into the rectangular hole. and the plank keel is wider. I have not added any blocking at the deck beams yet.

    The first boat I built was a modified Pelican, it was 1970 and I added a cabin and changed the rig to a gaff cutter.
