    To saw down to get book matched planks at say 5/8" planed you will start with 1 1/4" stock. You will not edge set a 1 1/4" by 6" wide board no matter how long you cook it....

    A boat can be docked, but is moored in a dock to a quay or wharf.

    It may well fit at the centre. A dock will have two and may have all four of the alternatives. unless it is a dry dock in which case it will have walls with altars.
