I was wondering if you could just buy replacement springs for the actual weight.
I will try and find a place to weigh it
  3. Re: lightwieght boat trailer for boats over 600 pounds

    Interesting.
Thinking about it, untreated bunks will last a long time and are easily replaceable
  4. Re: lightwieght boat trailer for boats over 600 pounds

Swoody126, That is what I want to do with the trailer.
Is that a treated 2x12 you used for the center bunk?

  7. Re: lightwieght boat trailer for boats over 600 pounds

Karavan makes a 1500#long bunk trailer that would fit up to 18 ft.
The trailer weighs 325 lbs which doesn't seem over heavy.
I will contact a dealer to see about price.
    They make them galvanized...
  8. lightwieght boat trailer for boats over 600 pounds

I was looking at the trailex site, but the largest one is rated for a maximum of 500 pounds.
The other brand ones seem to jump up to 1500 pounds capacity.
I'm sure my boat is at least 600 pounds....

I have a question about the name of your boat.
