    Re: Fallacies: A Useful Reference

Yet, the list is a definition of terms. One that others are expected to accept as valid definitions and invalid tactics.

I have no reason to change your considered opinion. If you find a need to change it, you might.

    Yes, they do.

Kids in my extended family learn early on that anyone setting up the rules for a discussion is setting a trap. Accepting a list of fallacies is a trap many fall into.

People are entitled to believe what they believe. With or without arguments.
  6. Re: Residential Building costs in you area?

    There are always other options.

The important point is that there are a lot of people who are willing and able to outbid you. A lot more than there used to be.
  7. Re: Residential Building costs in you area?

There was a teaser headline about buying housing today. It indicated that there are individuals who are willing to pay 40% more than the usual home buyers. That pushes up prices for both existing...

You might notice that even here there are disagreements about "facts". I find it reasonable that individuals have disagreements over facts. It has noting to do with reality.

  12. Re: Business having trouble getting help

Low pay is due to supply and demand. If communities want employees to live in the community, one way to accomplish that is to pay above market rate. Other ways are to change zoning laws to allow more...

  16. Re: Business having trouble getting help

    They do miss the point.
