    Here's how I did it on my 20 foot Chebacco, as described in the old Chebacco News (#34, I think). If you don't need opening ports this has worked well for 13 years with no leaks.

    Yes, he makes that point. I think the downside is that when gluing in tubes in traditional construction the wood will move and the joint may fail.
