    The ROT in the trim is not because it is wood!
    The rot is because of the nails holding on the trim.

    Stainless brackets both sides.
    A nut or bushing is welded to the stainless angles to make a pivot.

    I just stood the boards on the drill press table and drilled them .

    It was not as hard as I thought.

    Drill most of one side, then turn it over and drill from the opposite side.

    For the skeg.
    Since you epoxied the skeg to the keel I do not think you need any bolts at all.
    Maybe you could put a couple 1/4 lag bolts in it from the inside. 4 inches long???

    Copper is a very good conductor of electricity. Don't wear it!!! LOL

    Also copper and steel in a marine environment is very bad as far as corrossion potential.

    There was a test in a boat magazine of 8 different one part polyurethanes and Petit EasyPoxy was the winner.

    "bottom paint" means anti-fouling paint. You do not need that on a trailered boat.

    I drilled holes to attach the superstructure to the hull.
    I am very close to finishing all of the railings on the super structure.

    The log book provides spaces to enter destination, time, number of crew aboard, direction etc., etc.,.
