    You know what else? I used half a quart of pre-zip-code Balto brand marine epoxy to refinish the bottom. Came with the boat. Best paint I have ever used!

    Doubt you will be able to avoid heavy sanding, there really aren't any shortcuts there.

    Hm. Green Lake is pretty far from me, but post pictures if you can...it IS a nice boat. Great looks, and it is well-made. I like it a lot. It's a lot less work than a plank on frame boat, too.
