Re: Epoxy primer over solid wood

Interlux 2000 leaves a orange peel texture. Do you sand it down before you topcoat? I have found I end up sanding most of it off to get it smooth.

Re: Viking Ship at the Paris Boat Show

Looks like they did a first class job. With plywood you save quite a few oak trees|:)

At 28m would that be the largest plywood boat ever built?

    Thanks for that, very interesting.

I had a Norse pram for a dinghy which worked great except for the bumping against the hull part. I think that may be the reason some dinghies have a thick rope around the gunwales. Those padded...

Hey I knew that, I just wanted to know if you knew that :D.

I also considered that may have something to do with the problem but don't quite see how. It does make it hard to get at the prop.

    Re: Outboard Cavitation

I moved the hole outboard down not just the cavitation plate.

The eel grass wraps around the leading edge of the under water leg.

I’ll have to look into the weed cutter prop gard ideas.

I thought the original boat was planked with teak and that was part of the reason Leo decided to use wana which was somewhat similar whithout the cost.
