A lovely boat!
Your thread reminds me of the Johnw's absolutely wonderful "planing designs" thread (which you contributed a lot to,...
(Nice touch with the sub bases,)
A $2? I haven't seen one in ten years. Maybe 15. Rare.
The flags will be at half staff through December 9th to honor Nelson Mandela.
Or maybe it's just an Australian thing to thank you for being completely responsible for beating Japan in the Pacific...
Happy birthday Ron. Football or not, I'm pretty sure you'll celebrate in style!
Empty seats in the Big House? Srsly. Time to hoard gold and bottled water.
Very cool Ian. There's something wonky with the link though, so for those interested ....
Happy birthday Lew, my friend. I hope your birthday, Thanksgiving table and hanukah are full of family and friends (Sammy's absence notwithstanding).
There is a residential college at Yale named after Jonathan Edwards, a famous alumni. Their nickname is "the spiders".
"The God that holds you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider, or...
Glad you found yourself. Welcome back.
It's still ice free. Not for long.
I took an end of year cruise and took pictures of the American Queen, which was in town, and a collection of tugs of different configurations to support the end...
Gorgeous. I have a weakness for riverboats.
Steam riverboats? I'm helpless.
This from another thread: http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthread.php?131902-110Year-old-Steam-Yacht
Yes, that's what I thought too. I've got about four favorites now. Netflix has all of the reboot series last I checked.
I loved it. I'm with you Peter; the hanging genocide question was unpleasant at best.
I have really loved the Moffat / Davies reboot in general, and the cameo by Tom Baker (my first Dcotor) was...
And if you have some kasha, butterbrots, and tvorog, we can call it St. Petersburg breakfast.
Now you're nuts. Coconuts.
я не волнует, что мы едим, пока есть водка
And undoubtedly mad! Mad I tell you!
I'm headed over to the Pub.
Congratulations Peter! You are a good man, and a lucky man. I hope you continue to be happy all the days of your lives.
Keith, it is what you'd hope for. My favorite was a series of rooms set up as if they were artist's rooms with piles of books, artifacts for modeling the illustrations (toy planes, pieces of...
I took my daughters to Japan last summer. The visit to the Studio Ghibli museum was a real highlight for my younger daughter. Highly recommended especially if you're a fan.
Congratulations Duncan! "Indigenous and cultural consultant" - well done.
You are a kind and benevolent BROTM. The king lives, long live the king.
Nice tune! That guy seems totally heteroscedastic, but his guitar's got kertosis!
Oz, I will happily pay you $2 to make this thread go away. Didja get the BROTM thread eraser yet?
I'll see your "not a very good question" and raise you with "a stupid question".
This is a question for a nanosecond - the kind where you think "Hunh?" and immediately "Doh. No, that's stupid. ...
It woulda been epic.
I got to my hotel at 1:00 am, and was in my first meeting the same morning at 6:00 am and worked straight through the day. I did have 45 minutes at the airport waiting for...
I'm ready for a brunch-sized Bloody Mary. I was in Austin TX yesterday for exactly 19 hours and I just barely got out ahead of those north Texas bilge rats. They big! I need something to relieve...
I missed Firefly the first time around. A friend turned me on to it.
Happy birthday Phillip!
Happy birthday John! Best wishes for a great year ahead!
Every drop of water in my house goes through joints I sweat fitted. It was like building the last steam locomotive apparently.
Nice! THIS deserves a shout-out.
In the spirit of the thread: well done, freakin' Cheesehead. ;)
Im not sure I totally get your meaning, but I think imagining what is beyond immediate evolution is what keeps us evolving, you know?
And there's nothing wrong with clean gutters, too. I gotta go...
A big event. 17" in Twin Cities, 27" in Collegeville, Twenty foot drifts in Willmar.
Not unheard of, but pretty deep. Catastrophic when it happened with little warning.
I agree with Captain Intrepid.
And at it's core Christianity is about forgiveness and not condemnation.
And perhaps, just perhaps, most Christians trying to be community have issues of...
Catastrophe. The interview with the mayor is amazing. A calm and capable young fellow.
I imagine these concrete slabs used to be a road. The storm surge must have been unbelievable.
Great thread Garret, thanks.
I completely agree Paul. I got to see an S-cockpit Streamliner in the shop, and it is a gorgeous boat. Others have mentioned Shephers, Minette, and Ditchburn. Peterborough deserves a shout-out too.
More J.J. Taylor
I have a fondness for J.J. Taylor boats.
Since CWsmith is reciting verbatim some key elements of Christ's story, I'd say Christ.
But it would be so much more delicious if someone like say Bill Maher or John Smith got to say what...
You're doing your part John.
Others have answered the question adequately.
Grrrr. Maybe I should go split some wood. :)
I think I'd rather puncture both eardrums than listen to Bill Maher.
Or for that matter, any of the professional entertainers whose job it is to sneer at and demean "those other guys" as a way of...
I hear you is a Joisey guy.
I'm not messin' wit you.
I hope he busts the Tea Party before he bursts an artery.
Salads, Governor, lots of them, and lean meats, now through 2020.
Is is my name being used in vain?
I was saying we should crush the Taliban in Afghanistan and by using intelligence, diplomacy and special ops activities, and that the invasion of Iraq would...
