Personally I know my spelling has gone downhill in the last 10 years. I never typed anything till I started playing with computers and am far from good at it. When I read something I have typed...
The Continental script looks just like the one Lincoln used in the early 60's. But it might not be original to the boat
A classmate from high school shot a guy point blank with a shotgun from a drug deal gone bad. Still doing life.
I think it would be better if they all stayed there in DC
Happy Birthday! now is when you start saying your only as old as you feel. Keep the body moving.
Congrats on your launch, the boat looks great. I like the colors I painted the inside of my skiff the grey green also. Having leather on the oars and locks might cause a little friction I would try...
You could build a basic ply skiff the size you want and be finished by the time you finish engineering this
Over the years I have tried to eliminate swearing from my conversations. When I do slip I feel a little disappointed in myself.
Thanks for posting we all need to be reminded to help out when we can. It takes so little effort yet means so much.

I don't think a windmill on the horizon looks any worse than the McMansions look like looking towards the shore.
I row the shores of the Hyannis area and Osterville, If a wind farm could be heard over the sound of all the leaf blowers I would be surprised.
I had a 49 cj2 years ago. They didn't have enough power to get stuck, lots of fun and would climb anything but a tree. In the 90's me and a buddy would cut the roof of a beater every summer and scrap...

Our trash goes to an incinerator that produces electricity but they still charge us to dispose there. I'm not sure the output reaches the cost as everything must be presorted.
I will add Columbia Trading Co. West Barnstable,Ma. They specialize in nautical books.
In the future if you stack both sides of the case and the centerboard together and drill with a drill press all parts at once they will line up nicely. Just make sure you put the pin in while gluing...
If you are replacing the tank anyway I would look for a bigger tank. I also shut the tank valve off every night incase a hose blows out.
I would have actually been better off just letting the sail flap free while rowing off the beach it would have been like having a bare pole. Bottom line was that it was not the day to be out anyway.
would install a drain for cleaning the boat if nothing else. When I remove the drain plug on my skiff I clip it to the snap hook on the trailor strap so I cannot forget to reinstall when launching.
Yes the little hottys are all you see working at our Mary Lou's also, and no I will not go in with a camera. In honesty their location is off the path I follow so seldom go there. Thats my story and...
We have DD and Honey Dew in town and I prefer the Honey Dew coffee. I try to stay away from donuts but the HD corn muffins are hard to pass. We also have a small chain called Mary Lou's that caters...
They reviewed hundreds off hrs. of tapes to identify the suspects in the first place, not to locate them.
I was in Hyannis at the harbor at noon, light wind and clearing skys and started thinking maybe a good day to break out the sail. I have been rowing whenever the weather allows but have been eager to...
I was contemplating a stitch and glue build to get started with boat building, but the boat I wanted to build was an open skiff that would not look like a traditional boat without chines. I took a...
This was my first trip to Woods Hole since the last show two years ago. I was short on time so didn't get to look around the pond at all. I did notice the little dragger Viking was there since she...
I 89 is a speedway, I drive the speed limit and might as well be parked the way cars fly by.
In Rhode Island they don't pronounce the letter R. It becomes silent, or becomes a W

I have been doing bodywork for 39 yrs. and wouldn't consider spraying paint without tacking it off. Years ago the tack rags we used did semm stickier and could leave a smudge if rubbed to hard when...
My first was a Redmond Flapjack skiff. I enjoyed building it and it gets lots of use. I probably wouldn't build it again only because it was a learning boat and will go for a bigger challange next...
If a sweeping shear looks good, more is better? Kinda jaunty looky in a whimiscal way. The only important opinion is his own.
The Woods Hole Historical Museum is holding it's bi annual model boat show this Sat. and Sun. if anyone is in the area. Usually a good showing and R/C sailing in the pond.
A good percentage of the people not working have no incentive to work. They have their needs met and to take a job it would mean giving up benifits they could not afford. I know people that are on...
A lot of GM cars came from Canada. I can't remember the last time I bought a GM part that didn't say made in Canada or Mexico. Except the wheel for a GM truck that was made in Hungary. All genuin...
I know many tuna boats make many trips without a fish. Most guys fishing tuna have other permits to fish other spieces to support the tuna habit. And most do charter work to pay the bills.
Last week my bride flushed the loo while changing the paper roll. Dropped the springy center shaft at the right time to see it disappear . I had to remove the toilet take it apart and blow compressed...
The Florida sandbar crowd would love it. They seem to have to have one up on their buddys at all times. The big center cockpit crowd spends more on fuel in a month than one of those would cost. ...
I know some commercial fisherman that don't keep the pump at the bottom of the bilge on a float switch only manual. the auto pumps are a foot up for emergencys only.
