    Isn't the debt going to increase until there's a surplus - and maybe after, unless the surplus is used to pay down the debt? Seems to me any deficit (oops - defit :)) will increase the debt.

    Maybe use/buy another trailer? $1500 shipping could instead buy a decent used trailer with brakes. $4000 or less could buy an old pickup that'd handle your current one no sweat.
