    I’ve tried a mix of Listerine, witch hazel and a few drops of tea Tree oil. Works well for our voracious no-see-ems.

    Got the doors finished. Now I just need to get them down to Beaufort. 20024
    They weight about 225 pounds each. Need to phone a friend or 2 to get them up to the driveway and onto a trailer.

    Ive got a 1/2 sheet of 3/4” DF and 2/3 sheet of 1/2”.

    Some 1/2 and 3/4 DF marine ply, mahogany, juniper, DF, and white oak bits. I hate throwing wood away, and dont want to move it to the new shop.

    I reccomend the 3M VHB tape as well. I bought a box containing several rolls off of EBay years ago. Found many uses for it.

    Unfortunately it won’t be worth much. Used wooden boats, unless they are freshly restored or of historic significance aren’t worth much more than the cost of the materials involved.

    I dunno, maybe the same as Sitka which I understand isn’t exactly durable either.
    I avoided sapwood, made it birdsmouthed and applied 3 coats of epoxy before the varnish went on.

    G-Flex works well with white oak. Stays a bit pliable to allow for movement. Also be sure to wipe down the joints with acetone to remove any oils before gluing.

    Got some adjustments to make to the trailer. Bunks need to be raised, rollers too.
    Also need to move the axles forward a fair bit. Tongue weight is a bit excessive at 404#!
