Pretty much anything built of 2 planks will be more stable with 3 or 5, all the way down to a bunch o square planks.
Leaving the dynel cloth weave to mimic canvas is a theatrical thing.
It sort of looks like canvas for awhile, depending on how rough you are with it, but like canvas, any dings , scratches, hard...

There is no advantage to paying for quartersawn for strip planking.
Consider making the planks square ,15 x 15 in your case , rather than 15 x 23.
This allows you go straight from the saw to the...

If the ply is old and banged up, a pre coat can be a good idea, cuz yer gonna be dealing with epoxy with a putty knife to fair the surface of dings and scratches before glassing anyway. Yes , a...

Galv. eyebolt. Let the eye into the stem Al so the bolt part cannot bend, and then it won’t look like an eyebolt either.
My experience with removin things from these Connie’s is easy cuz they all rot up under the varnish.
Gardens, horses, sports,cars,kitchen remodels…
we woody boaters do not have time for these things
Put three coats of epoxy on the garage floor first to protect it from the fire hose required to remove the blush.
Could we get a photo of the step?
