    Then I started making bandsawn boxes from old hardwood fenceposts and railway sleepers. These were popular and I made 4200 of them and sold them all. This one is in rosewood.

    Bigger bits are possible, the thing is to find the rod first. Thick spokes fro m a motorbike are the easiest but if there is a spring works nearby check out their skip for 1/4'' spring steel round....

    No problem, the idea is a light cut and steady feed back and forward under the stone, I dress with an oil stone to finish and the hollow grind is an advantage there. Keep the blade cool.
