Kayaks are easy access boats, second only to inflatables IMO. One of the cheapest too... instant mass appeal.
Part of why I'm looking for the best place for my feeders is reducing access for squirrels and rats, rats more so. What in your experience have been the most effect methods for excluding unwanted...
^ That's one of the ones I had in mind...
The whaling monument is most impressive, it rotates on it's pedestal btw. I'd really love to see what sort of water feature could be designed around it using today's high tech methods...
Round up and ant poison? I second a call to the municipality...
I can see squirrels and chipmunks being a pest at best, and rats are nothing more than vermin, but blanketing your yard in poison is...
It's been done, there are a few threads topside on this, and a few really sweet designs too. I can't think of the designers name off hand but I'll see if I can scare something up.
I can't believe that anyone, in any country, could be this blind and out of touch with reality.
I put out a sunflower seed, a suet, and a nectar feeder last week; just for the purpose of snapping bird pics. Chased of my first squirrel today but I'm sure it'll be back, I've been taking the suet...
So you demand that others explain their statements yet you feel you have no need to respond in kind? Is that honest Phillip?
Then please explain the distinction.
It's not a personal attack Phillip, I'm just point out that you are in danger of presenting yourself as a hypocrite.
Sort of like your swimming pool dodge isn't it?
Oh wait... when you do it it's not a dodge. Carry on.
Re: #143
We have a cinnamon green cheeked conure. An entertaining little bird for sure, but she is one loud cranky bird at times, hates the sound of running water.
I had a feeling... I've seen that look before.
and just to SOT...
A boring old duck.

That was what I kept thinking but couldn't be sure, the pictures I was seeing seemed to show a much darker topside on the wing than what can be seen in your shot.
Thanks.
So anyone else think that the WBC is now looking for a daycare or a preschool to protest at?
Good for the little girl and her father for rubbing their noses in it.
That does make it a bit of a crap shoot doesn't it...
I'll see if I can track it down at VIREO, did you shoot that in Laos?
Quite a look from that bear for sure, cubs in the area?
Okay... who can ID this one?
Outstanding!
Love the patio set on the U Boat cruising through the garden. :D
I would think it would be just the opposite. We have adequate technologies when applied in concert, the hurdle is cost ATM.
Whereas the world population is unquestionably beyond the control of an...
That'll leave a mark... :(

Another experiment, trying to keep the focal plane parallel to the coin face, not 1:1. I've rapidly developed a substantial respect for those that can shoot macro handheld.

Thanks again Brian.
This one is actually my 100mm macro. I was playing around with aperture trying to discover how much DOF I have at different distances from the subject. Until I get some very...
That is one bizarre looking hold on the string too.
Anne Rice will do that. It works for some if you're only interested in homoerotica and a "word of the day" writing style. I gave up after read preternatural for the 500th time.
I'm a waterproofer, the roof hatches for those three buildings require going through the projection rooms.
Shaun of the Dead
Zack Snyder's remake of Dawn of the Dead
Our Cineplex, Silvercity, and Empire theaters are all digital, I've worked on all three buildings and been in the projection rooms. It's the little independents like the Roxy that are still running...

But your very first comment, even before you posted the link, framed it as a political left vs right issue. Do you honestly see it ending in anything other than a pissing match?

Looks very interesting, I think I'll be watching this soon.
Have you noticed me engaging in a lot of "gotcha" tactics here on the forum lately? How about posting political or religious threads? I've made an effort to avoid such postings. I'm more interested...
So instead of breaking the cycle you would rather perpetuate it?
So in other words you're looking to play a game of "gotcha"? I wonder who will be exposed...
Why not take a break from the mud slinging? Go out side and take a walk, ride your horse... hell go and shoot something!
You're just inviting abuse starting threads like this... and I can't say...

I can see a nice tripod and a gimbal head along with a 2x TC coming in the near future.
Thank you. I'm very happy to have snapped those, it's gives a nice little endorphin rush when you get the shot you want.
These little guys are proving to be much harder to capture.
