    Agreed. That may be the way it ends up. Drop a threaded rod through the plate. Eye nut, shackle, cable. And a turnbuckle.

    I’m thinking of cutting some threads on the end of a 5/8 grade 5 round bar. I’m going to use it for a cabin tie down. Seems like this may be better (and cheaper) than getting a long threaded rod.
