Well after about 3 cases of beer and 3 saturdays spent with a couple friends the 66 owens flagship I bought for 500 bucks is going into the water tomorrow. New bottom paint, a bunch of new wood, a bunch of paint, lots of sweat and a little epoxy and a lot more to come. I hope it floats....

By "she" you either mean my wife or my boat. Either way, a good compliment to be paid.

Bluegill went in the water monday night. She is taking on water around the keel as expected, but hopefully will be sealed up fairly tight tonight. bilge pumps work great and I finally got to run her for a while and pump some water through the engine. It hadnt been ran for any length of time in 2 years, so I was happy to see how smooth it ran. I am taking her from nunica, mi to her slip in south haven on saturday, I hope things go well. Does anyone have any "must take" items for a 50 mile trip? I am towing my 10.5 ft inflatable with a 10hp outboard. Thanks.
