One of my brothers is a pastor and one of his paritioners is an American Vietnam Vet of the 101st Airborne and later the coastgard. A long time resident of Australia, he is alone now. Noel is in very poor health and has other problems as a result of his service. He will not give his last name. Can anyone point me in the direction of his regimental association so I can pass it on to my brother. Any other suggestions would be welcome
Being a former active operator within the division I would hate to see this go on without Noel receiving the help he deserves. You could start with this link.

Thank you Arko, my next move will be to find out his surname. I suspect that there's a mental aspect to this as well. We take him to the Dawn Service on our ANZAC day, but this april he could hardly walk. I will contact the link you provided tonight. I wonder if our Veterans Afairs has a reciprocal arrangement with the US?
Yes, a little more information would be helpful, full name, dates of service, etc... I am sure Aus has what would be an equivalent to our veterans affairs rep. Bless you for trying to help.

Good on you for caring.
In Maine there are numerous social service organizations, most private and church based. You probably have similar organizations.
The problem will likely be that he is feeling bitter or proud, and won't want the help. Persistence. A meal delivered once a day has a way of making friends.
