View Full Version : Arrow Class
Anyone heard of this class? Looks like it might be a nice restore or new build.

A.M. Deering (not J. Deering as suggested in the listing) was the Chicago designer in 1935 and at one point the Arrow was one of the most numerous one-design classes on the Great Lakes, as large as 110 boats, sailing mostly out of the Chicago area clubs.
Sort of a midwestern counterpart to the Town Class. :)

If you don't mind the work, got and get it!
The boat looks beautiful and the hull seems to be fairly healthy. The OSB / chipboard decking (is that what I see on some of the interior pictures?) would have to be replaced with real ply, and I wouldn't seriously consider serious sailing with cotton sails, so a new suit of dacron or similar would be needed.
