probably left this far to late ask this question, but the thought just occurred to me, having ripped out 3 deck beams...
would it have been a wise move to brace the frames before removing the beams? can't imagine the beams were adding a lot of cross bracing the state they were in, but wondered wether its possible that the frames may fold in a little or sag outwards with the beams gone? (and therefore disturbing the planks a bit?)
