Many years ago Don Holm wrote "The Circumnavigators"......when he passed away we were compiling information for a follow on or "part 2"...
I have some transcribed interviews of several folks that knew Harry Pigeon personally....and was in the process of writing a chapter based on those interviews.....just wondering how many folks would be interested.......

Not to belabor the matter, but there is a bit of discrepancy between wikipedia entries and the verbal interviews with people. I do have the necessary signed waivers and disclaimers for the articles

I'd be keenly interested and hope you publish! I assume you saw the recent letters in WB from people who met him. I greatly enjoyed the recent WB article and wished it had been longer. Pigeon seemed so casual and unassuming about his exploits, and like Slocum, he told about the good things and downplayed the bad.

Yes. He was one of the first and most interesting adventurers.

Very interested. He was one of those men who seem very simple... usually because they are exceptionally intelligent, sensitive and clear about what they want to do...

Me three.

Harry Pigeon was a noted circumnavigator of the Boat Pond in Central Park.

Harry Pidgeon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Pidgeon) was the real deal.

Please Chuck. Let me know if you need any help.

I knew I made a spelling boo boo when I wrote it....and No...I didn't see the woodenboat article as I let my subscription lapse and gave several as gifts. If it's no bother I wish someone would send me a copy....I was using it as an excuse to pick up a copy locally just to get outta the house.

I would greatly appreciate any further information concerning Harry Pidgeon. This modest and greatly talented man has been an inspiration to me for a number of years.

Certainly, I would be interested in seeing information on Mr. Pigeon. My father took me to see his boat and meet him when he was in San Pedro back in the l 1940's. We spent about an hour with him as my father was fastinated with deep sea voyaging. He and Dad had a great time talking. I was too young to understand much about who this interesting person was. But even at such an early age, I have always had a lasting positive impression and memory of the man and his boat.
