Does anyone know which library stores the design portfolio of Bill Luders? I've searched this forum, but haven't seen it, and I've sent an email to Mystic, but haven't yet had a response.

I'm working on a personal research project, and I'm especially interested in the Luders 24, Luders 27, Luders 33, and the 12mR American Eagle.

I know the L16 Association has plans for the Luders 16, but I'm wonderings about sources for the others.

Thanks

All original Luders drawings prior to 1962 were lost in a fire at the Luders yard that year. Some prints and photos are in the Ship's Plans Library at Mystic. Otherwise contact yacht designers Ted Brewer or Bob Wallstrom, both Luders employees and keepers of the firm's history.

I couldn't say Lew......they left the island a couple of years ago...and I haven't seen him since. They live in Agassiz now, closer to family both sides of the border. He seemed in good shape the last I saw him, deeply involved in model railroads.....;) I can't see it myself...

I received an email from Mr. Brewer yesterday. He said that he's not sure if either the L24 or L27 plans survived the fire, but if they did, they'd be at Mystic...
