The 100% Honduran mahogany plywood my dad built an outboard runabout with in the 1950's has gone the way of Edsels, 8-track tapes and dinosaurs. Because the color is similar, sapele and khaya (African hardwoods) are called "African mahogany". Some marketing hype advertizing information even refers to okoume (gaboon) as "magogany". While the darker African hardwoods are similar to Honduran mahogany, okoume (gaboon) ain't your grandfather's mahogany.
There is a thread down in Products/Resources that lists marine plywood sources around the country. Check it out.

I don't know where to get 1/2 marine treated ply, but there is a place in elkhart that sells 3/4 treated marine ply for pontoon boat repairs pontoonstuff.com I think is the name, there is another place a couple blocks over that has 1.5" treated marine ply transom wood in 4x8 sheets too.

Get the wood species when they say "African Mahogany"...it could be lotsa things as noted above....Okoume would be at the bottom of the marine ply list.
