What is the best way to attach the centerboard pendant?

A little more info may help...

Does the centreboard weight 10 lbs or 1,000 lbs?

What do the plans say?

pivot or lift?

The board pivots around a 3/8" bronze bolt. The board weighs about 40 lbs.

Sounds about the same as mine. Mine attaches to the trailing edge a couple of inches above the outer edge of the hull using a simple stainless steel bridle and two bolts. I drilled the board out and epoxy filled the bolt holes and added some fibreglass reinforcement in the area.

I assume that's a galvanised steel c/b?

This is a rough as guts sketch (took me longer to scan it and get it on here than sketh it) but it shows roughly the set up of my galvanised steel CB on my Hartley.

If you can decipher my sketch, the pendant runs from the mast back and forward through two blocks for better purchase then back to a jammer on top of the back of the arse end of the CB case.

The CB is probably 35-45kg (going on what a pain it was to move it around the workshop when I was working on the CB case) so lowers itself quite nicely and doesn't really need so much purchase to lift it but this does make it much easier again.

Kevin,

Are you getting close to a launch date?

Kevin,

I hope to be done in the next two or three months. Maybe sooner if I can stay motivated. Are you going to Mystic?

Larks,

Thanks for the info.
