The Bigfella

I'm trying to decide which way to plank the foredeck on my 14' Yellowtail. It was straight-planked by the guy who started building it, but he used some sort of builders glue (like a Titebond) but it or the build wasn't up to the job and had already cracked before the boat even hit the water.
I've rebuilt it, including using 4mm ply as a substrate and have sprung planks on the gunwale - with about 4" covered so far.
The king plank is on - tapering from 2" out to just under 4" over a length of 4'.
The question is, which way to plank it... sprung, herringbone or straight? That is my order of priority at the moment.
We cut the planking stock today... its a whisker under 3/4" wide.
If anyone could add a photo or two of different designs, it would be appreciated.
Here's the old deck (which is about 12" -15" shorter than the rebuilt deck), unfortunately after demolition started
