pine sap and epoxy

I am planning to use some old growth pine on a boat I'm building and it's saturated with sap. Will the sap interfere with the bonding of epoxy?

Have you seen this page? I've queried them before and they respond via email very quickly.

This epoxy is from B&B Yacht Designs. I was actually just looking at the West Systems webpage - a lot of good info on there.
