    Has anyone tried Wolfram Alpha

Wolframalpha.com has been released, seems to be something new and could turn out be be something (or not).

It looks like it can pull information from many sources, make calculations based on the information collected and provide information that hasn't yet been compiled.

No, I can't afford it. I believe the program is $1200.00 or so. I live in the town were their headquarters are.

There wasn't a charge for what I used But it was obviously way too much information for the simple project I was working on.

It'd be cool for trig and algebra homework though.

        Cheers!

          .
Try asking it, "What is the meaning of life?" or, "How long is a piece of string?" or, "How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?"

The answers might surprise you. (Or then again they might not.)

This is a very clever piece of design....

            Ever watch the Terminator series?

Could this be SkyNet under another name?

When does it become self-aware and decide humans are a threat?

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

It got the first one right, the third one has the same answer as the first, and a piece of string is always six inches too short.
I'll just take my chances with those salt water joys.
