Warm and rainy these last few days, doors open, and some rain blew in onto my tablesaw top and left a few rust spots. I rubbed it out with Boshield (first time I've tried it) and now 3 days later it's still sticky.
What's been your experience w/ the stuff?

If it takes much longer I'm thinking I'll clean it off with paint thinner or some such and wax it instead.

Boeshield is wax. Did you follow the instructions? IIRC, you're supposed to buff it out after a few minutes in the application you're using it for.

Yes I did buff it out. I'll try again tomorrow too.

We use Boshield often. I use it to coat my pipe bending dies as a release agent and it keeps the dies from putting friction marks on the pipe. We also use it for our table saw and other metal table tools. I know many prefer paste wax but Boshield is instant. It is some slippery stuff also. My Boss decided he was going to do me a favor and lube the bars on my quick grip bar clamps and they would no longer hold without slipping. I had to clean it off with naptha and use air tool oil on them for them to be able to lock down again.
You can put it on too heavy.

Boshield advertised itself as being a rust and corrosion preventative of course, and perhaps for shore side use and a humid shop it might be OK, but it doesn't stop
bronze from turning instantly green at sea, as I had hoped it would. Probably a good topical for tools, and I will try it in that application next time I buy a can. But I don't know when the next time I buy a can might be! I use carnauba on my tool beds and tops, and it works well for months at a fraction of the cost in my application. And it is humid during Seattle winters!
