Hell's teeth, Andreas, this all looks a bit serious. Where is the boat at present?

And why have you got the port side planking stripped out?

Indeed a few (more) words would be nice. Do I spy a new frame? A few more to go? Nice building, too (But I don't have to pay taxes on my cover, LOL).

Definitely serious surgery. Where's the boat?(Ed says I need more clamps) ;)

Well, the boat is in a yard in Esbjerg, Denmark. We were unfortunate in almost losing our rudder after hitting a bar of packed sand by the harbour entrance, so the boat had to be hauled. Consequently it became to late to finish the last leg up to Norway, so we decided to leave the boat and commission some repairs at the yard. Looking at it now, I'm glad I didn't attempt to do it myself! A previous dodgy repair had resulted in rainwater leaking through the deck onto the frames, ribs and planks on the port quarter....

To avoid such an occurrance in the future, the plywood deck is being covered in cloth/epoxy.
Luckily, the rest of the hull is in excellent condition with one and a quarter inch yellow pine planking over oak frames, copper fastened. (She weighs in at 4,8 tons on a 21 feet waterline)

She will be launched in late May, sporting new sails and ready for a pleasant Norwegian summer cruise......
