So is it a manatee? On the History channel right now.

Manatee? Highly unlikely--they have broad, flat tails and are thicker at the tail root. The trident-shaped tail is too perfectly formed for it to be the product of injury. Maybe it's a mutation?

I only recall seeing manatees behave like that during mating season and even then, more passively.

Just a little too murky for my tastes.....I
like Location, location , location.

Just a grainy video and nothing else.

Can we all say "champ"

Impossible to say from the pic. Maybe a manatee that's been hit by a boat a few times? That back fin looks pretty ragged. It's difficult to find perspective as to size. Could be a juvenile whale that's been hit by power boats?

lots of manatees are torn up by props. it's pretty common.

We have the Altamahaha creature, which very credible people have reported seeing. I am sceptical about this, but a large alligator seems to qualify as a monster.

So hard to tell anything from the video, I would like to see all the footage he has, although this is probably the best he has, since this is what has been released.
Unless he is keeping the best for last, maybe ideas of making a huge discovery are keeping the good footage under wraps.
