This craft is from an exhibition in 2004 called "Argonauts of the Timor sea"

There's a cutting mentioning a Scottish artist, J. Fairweather, who sailed a raft from Timor to Darwin. I think this one, with the flag of St Andrew.

I think the bow saw was a gift from the artist Fairweather who built the trimaran 'IF' also.

Tenuously Misc. Boat Related because one of his works is a wind wand and another work is a water whirler.

We are lucky to have a very good gallery here in Christchurch and I've seen a Len Lye exhibition there. 'Universe' was my favourite.
