View Full Version : WFK's shop
WFK
I remember there used to be a thread with a bunch of pics of your shop.
A buddy is moving to the country and will be building a shop and yours is about the nicest I've seen.
What was the link if you happen to recall and wouldn't mind me passing it on.
Thanks,
Howard

I like the steam box setup inside. If I tried that in our one car garage visibilty would be reduced to about three feet :D

Happy New Year all.....
Thanks for the comments on the shop! It really was an economical building to have built coming in at about $15 sq/ft including the slab. Part of what made it go up so fast and cheap was that it was laid out in 12 ft increments. Purlins, 8' plywood siding, etc, created virtually no waste.
If you ave any more questions Howard feel free to e-mail, or post a reply

Thanks Bill,
I may well give you an email when it is closer to reality. My friend has the land. 8 acres which are pretty much completely forested at present (spruce, pine and aspen. He will be clearing enough for the house first and then we will get going on the shop.
I tried to convince him he had the order wrong but his better half wasn't buying it. Actually, I suspect she would go along with it, she's a pretty neat lady and a decent sized shop was one of his prime motivations for moving out of the city.
Happy New Year everybody

Shop first of course.
Live in the loft, which has a 3/4 bath & temporary kitchenette. Downstairs shop is where you do the messy parts of the the house's bits and you don't have to live in the mess as it's built. SWMBO is happy, therefore you're happy :D
Shop first. It's so obvious!
