When I use the "FAQ's" that are posted here, there are dead links to some of the subjects. Do those topics still exist? Can I search for them some other way?

If you post the particular subjects perhaps someone will advise you.

OR....you could just use the special Google set up for the WB.

I was able to find what I was searching for using Google.
The thing is the search turned up nothing and an error message saying that the message doesn't exist. (I gather there were some messages lost).
But, I did find it in the Google cache.

It appears that old topics are dumped by the woodenboat computer program.
How long will google's cache of a web page be active?
As google crawls the web and finds dead links these cached pages will probably dissappear.
I have noticed that usenet newsgroups are around forever going back to the beginning like around 1991. Too bad they cant be moved over to one of these then perhaps they would always be available.
